This Tuesday, May 20 at 4:00 p.m. there is going to be a teen gaming event here at the library. Come and get your groove on with Dance Dance Revolution and string out to some Guitar Hero.
Sign up for the summer reading program begins at the end of the month. Great events are scheduled for the coming busy weeks.
The new Book and Movie series for the month of June is Khaled Hosseini's / The kite runner / . The audio book is one of the new ones in the list above! Stop by the library to pick up a copy of the book. The discussion is going to be held on Thursday, June 5 at 7:00 p.m. and the film will be shown on Thursday, June 26 at 6:30 p.m.
The novel follows the story of two males Amir, the son of a wealthy businessman in Kabul, and Hassan, the son of the father's servant. They spend their days flying kites and telling stories of mystical places. Amir and his father escape to America and the story brings him back to the native land that has been torn by war.
The Library and Lunch for next month is Lorna Landvik's / Angry Housewives Eating Bon Bons /. We meet every second Tuesday of the month at noon. In June we will be meeting on the 10th. This one was picked out by the last group who I'm pretty sure did not know that the cover is of ladies lounging in a pool!! It could very well be a refreshing and fun summer read! The story follows the three decades in the lives of five friends who go through the trials of marriages, child rearing, neighborhood parties, and brownies beginning in the late 1960s in Minnesota.
I look forward to seeing many of you in the library in the coming weeks!!
