| Text: [back] Duck Creek, Smyrna, Delaware - The Old Plank House ... disguised for years by modern siding, was recognized as an important example of early Delaware architecture by Leon de Valinger, the state archivist. The house, originally located of N. Main St., Smyrna, was turned over to the historical society. Chauncey Simpson, of Dover, catalogued the pieces, which were then moved to the present site, near the Linden's, and re-erected by the Public Archives Commission.
