2011 Adult Summer Reading Program
Registration and Reading

How the Program Works
Sign up beginning May 23rd to read during the summer until July 18th and earn raffle tickets for two drawings for prizes.
Adults will be issued passports of raffle tickets disguised as book reviews. Fill out the tickets with the titles you read and rate them by amount of suitcases. There will be two drawings through the summer reading program for prizes. Drawings will be held on Tuesday, June 21 and Monday, July 18.
Drop off your raffle tickets at the circulation desk throughout the summer reading program weeks.
Read or listen to your choice of books from the library. . .and for some flair try out international authors.
There will be a Novel Destinations Social on Tuesday, June 21 at 6:30 p.m. A chance for fellow participants to mingle and talk books!

Prize drawing and Novel Destinations Social. This will be a chance for fellow participants to mingle and talk books!
Monday, July 18 Final prize drawing and end of Summer Reading
Pre-Readers up to children entering 6th grade are encouraged to sign-up for the "One World, Many Stories" program, and 7th - 12th grade readers can sign up for the "You Are Here" program.

Wednesday, June 1 at 3:30 a.m. Brazil
SCCC student Laercio Lobo will present a program on his home country. The public is welcome.
Tuesday, June 7 at 6:45 p.m. Multi-lingual storytime (French, Spanish, English)
As part of our summer programming, this storytime will feature stories read in French, Spanish, and English. This event is open to the public
Wednesday, June 8 at 3:30 p.m. France and Czech Republic
SCCC students Fannie Benincasa and Juraj Stepanovic will be sharing about life in their home countries. This event is open to the public.
Friday, June 17 at 2:00 p.m. India
Liberal's own Dr. Varinder Gill will be presenting this program on life in India. This event is open to the public.
Thursday, June 23 at 2:30 p.m. Australia
SCCC student Nathan Nelmes will present a program on his home country of Australia. This event is open to the public.
Tuesday, June 28 at 1:30 Africa
SCCC students Jon and Emi will be presenting a program on life in their native land of Africa. This event is open to the public.
Thursday, June 30 at 2:00 Lee Richardson Zoo
The zoo will be bringing a collection of small animals. Please note: No late admissions will be permitted per zoo policy, so be punctual! This event is open to the public
